Curriculum vitae

Nicolette Mout, born Wassenaar, 1945. Study of history at the University of Amsterdam and Charles University, Prague 1963-1968; Research scholarship in Austria 1968; Assistant Keeper, Jewish Historical Museum, Amsterdam 1969-1970; Editor for the Humanities, Nijhoff Publishers, The Hague 1970; Ph.D. from Leiden University 1975; Lecturer Modern History, University of Utrecht 1975-1976; Lecturer, later Reader Dutch History, University of Leiden1976-1994, 1990-1994 in combination with the chair of Central European Studies (endowed chair). Professor of Modern History and Professor of Central European Studies from 1994 to 2010.

Member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen), foreign member of the Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften, member of the Academia Europaea.
