Research on cognitive processes
In his research he combines computerized cognitive tasks and psychophysiological methods, such as EEG and pupillometry. In 2023 he started his postdoctoral project in Leiden, where he works with Prof. dr. Sander Nieuwenhuis to examine how neural gain levels in the brain influence the breadth of attention.
Short CV
Martin studied psychology at the University of Tartu in Estonia. His PhD research examined how the appraisal component of emotion impacts visual attention control, especially attention allocation and breadth of attention. The research was supervised by assistant prof. Andero Uusberg and prof. Jüri Allik.
