Short CV

Marloes van Moort started her PhD in the Educational Science programme group of Leiden University in October 2015. Under the supervision of Prof.  Paul van den Broek and Dr. Arnout Koornneef she studies cognitive processes involved in reading comprehension. She is interested in the cognitive processes involved in monitoring of one’s understanding while reading and the underlying neural processes. She uses various research methods, such as behavioural studies, eyetracking and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Marloes also teaches both bachelor- and master courses and is a board member of the PhD Platform of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
