Marleen Waaijer-Linders holds a LL.M. in Notarial Law from Leiden University. For over 25 years, she worked as a deputy candidate civil-law notary and later as an Estate Planning Advisor. Marleen received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2021.
As part of her PhD research, Marleen is exploring how reducing inheritance tax based on Article 67, Paragraph 3 of the Dutch Succession Law of 1956 can contribute to the Dutch National Collection. The effect of reducing inheritance tax in the event that important art and cultural objects are transferred to the Dutch State will be investigated from the various perspectives of the heirs of the objects, art collectors and the State.
