Travel literature and imagology (with focus on accounts of French travelers in Holland in the 18th and 19th centuries); history of the teaching of French in Holland; the francophone Dutch writer Belle van Zuylen (Isabelle de Charrière); personal writings in French by native inhabitants of Holland (18th and 19th centuries).
