Short CV
Before moving to the Netherlands in 2018, Kunz completed an vocational training to become an Event Manager in Germany and further obtained a diploma in Music Management from the Triagon Academy in Munich. Being fascinated by the neurobiological basis of thought and cognition, he moved on to obtain his BSc and RMSc at Leiden University.
Early in his career, he started working together with Dr. Fenna Poletiek in the realms of psycholinguistics, focussing on grammatical combinatoriality, and how its variance affects visual search performance.
For his internship and Master's project, he moved to Nijmegen to work at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, in the Neurobiology of Language department, led by Prof. Dr. Peter Hagoort. Here, Kunz focussed on how Theory of Mind impacts semantic congruency evaluations.
After graduating from the program, he stayed in Nijmegen to work at the Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging at the Radboud University. Here, he worked on a magnetoencephalographical (MEG) study, investigating the role of the cerebellum in language production. Currently, he holds a position as a PhD Candidate in the Cognitive Psychology Unit at Leiden university, under the supervision of Dr. Sebo Uithol, Dr. Manon Mulckhuyse and Prof. Dr. Sander Nieuwenhuis.
