Lars Brummel works as an assistant professor at the Institute of Public Administration. His research focuses on the legitimacy of (semi-)public organisations amid changes in their political and social context (e.g., due to crises or political polarization). In the past, he conducted research on the accountability of public agencies, political trust, and public support for democratic innovations. He combines qualitative and quantitative (including experimental) methods.
