Professional experience

​​​​​​​Kristie received her BSc degree in Applied Physics in 2021 at Delft University of Technology. In 2023, she finished the MSc program Industrial Ecology, at Delft University of Technology and Leiden University. For her thesis, she performed a comparative life cycle assessment of microfluidic glucose detection devices. Kristie specializes in life cycle assessment, with a focus on modeling emerging technologies related to healthcare.

Research topic

​​​​​​Kristie’s research consists of quantifying the environmental performance of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Using methods such as life cycle assessment and risk assessment, her research assesses the impacts of continuous flow manufacturing, an emerging method of chemical production, on the surrounding environment and ecosystems.
