Kimmy Shah is a programme assistant for the Advanced LLM in Law and Digital Technologies, and a researcher at eLaw.
Kimmy Shah is a programme assistant for the Advanced LLM in Law and Digital Technologies, and a researcher at eLaw, where she conducts research as part of the EU-funded AI4Europe project, which develops the AI On-Demand platform. Previously, she tutored courses on Governance and Political Theory at Freiburg University.
Kimmy holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of Freiburg (specialisation in Governance) and Maastricht University (specialisation in Law). She has an LLM in Law and Technology from Leiden University. Her research interests concern the interactions between certain fundamental rights, technological applications, and regulations aimed at addressing these interactions. Her current research revolves around how freedom of thought is affected by technology. She has also researched issues ranging from state surveillance and privacy rights to socio-legal perspectives on technology regulations.
