Research
Katherinne is a PhD grant holder of the Secretary of science and tecnology (SENACYT) in Panamá. Her research centers around the secondary burial phenomenon in Panamá assesing phenotypical relationships through biological distances and human mobility through isotopes. Currently part of the Centro de investigaciones antropológicas e históricas (CIHAC) and collaborating with the Smithsonian tropical research institute (STRI).
Curriculum vitae
Katherinne did her BA in History and Geography in the University of Chiriquí in Panamá (2014-2021). During this time, she worked as an archaeologist in several archaeological projects in Panamá and Costa Rica. Including El Caño where she was also given an internship under Julia Mayo's supervision. In 2022, she started her master's in physical Anthropology in Madrid. Since 2023 she is a PhD Candidate in Leiden University.
