Research interests
I am strongly interested in the mechanisms and effects of psychedelic substances and associated experiences. Under the supervision of Michiel van Elk, I aim to contribute to our understanding of their potential clinical implications and adverse effects. Specifically, I am interested in psychedelic-induced changes in self perception, suggestibility, beliefs, and emotion processing.
Research programmes
Putting Psychedelics In Perspective - funded by the NWO Vidi grant, awarded to Dr. Michiel van Elk
Teaching
At Leiden University, Josi is teaching workgroups for the Consciousness course.
