Josette Daemen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Public Administration in The Hague.
Josette Daemen is a political scientist and political philosopher, trained at the universities of Leiden and Oxford. At Leiden she obtained her doctoral degree with a thesis on the concept and value of security. Currently she works as a postdoctoral researcher for Leiden’s Institute of Public Administration on a project about fairness in educational assessment in the age of AI. Striving to make insights from political philosophy accessible to a wider audience as well, she often contributes to the Dutch public debate and has a regular column in Leids Universitair Weekblad Mare.
