I am Professor of Molecular developmental zoology at the Institute of Biology Leiden (IBL). My research group is located at the Hubrecht Institute in Utrecht, an institute of the Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences. My research focuses on understanding the function of protein-tyrosine phosphatases, a class of signal transduction molecules, in embryonic development and we use zebrafish embryos as a model. Details of my research can be found here: www.hubrecht.eu/onderzoekers/den-hertog-group/
