Title research: Intersections of sex work, trafficking and transnational migration on the island of Malta.
Isotta Rossoni is an external PhD candidate at the Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance and Society.
Isotta holds a BA in International Relations and Russian from Queen Mary University of London and an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Oxford. In the past few years, Isotta has worked as project manager and researcher in Malta and Italy, collaborating with international NGOs, the University of Malta and various consultancies. The focus of her work is on gender-based violence and sexual violence, particularly in the context of migration and displacement. Her PhD wishes to investigate intersections of migrant sex work and sex trafficking on the island of Malta.
