Irlan started as a PhD researcher at the Industrial Ecology department of CML in September 2019.
Professional experience
Irlan is a researcher from Indonesia that has research interest in the sustainable development. He holds his bachelor degree in Mathematics from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia and a master degree in Economics from Clemson University, USA. During his masters studies, he specialized on interregional trade analysis using CGE modeling and obtained a keen interest in the multiregional impact analysis.
He worked as a researcher at the Center for Economics and Development Studies and lecturer at the Department of Economics, Universitas Padjadjaran since 2015. He had experience in the development of CGE modeling in Central Bank of Indonesia.
Irlan started as a PhD researcher at the Industrial Ecology department of CML in September 2019.
Research topic
Irlan’s research is focused on measuring the impact assessment of Indonesia’s development in the regional context. Particularly, looking to the trade-offs between economic and environmental impacts associated with global palm oil trade.
