Irene is a PhD candidate doing research in bioinformatics and data science for biodiversity. The project is a close collaboration between the Imaging & BioInformatics group (LIACS) and the Understanding Evolution group (Naturalis Biodiversity Center). Irene focuses on integration strategies of public data for supporting the research on fungal biodiversity on different scales.
Irene is a PhD candidate doing research in bioinformatics and data science for biodiversity. Irene is a supporter of interdisciplinary research and data reusability. Her research focuses on data integration and data management of information obtained from public domains for assisting the research on fungal biodiversity.
Her interests are in biodiversity, geospatial data visualization, biogeography, knowledge representation and meta-analysis.
