Bio
Hüseyin Beyköylü is an External Ph.D. candidate at the Cognitive Psychology Unit. With a multidisciplinary background spanning medicine, neuroscience, cognitive science, and philosophy, he is deeply committed to advancing transdisciplinary and holistic approaches to cognitive science. His research is grounded in enactive, 4E cognitive science and complex dynamic systems perspectives, reflecting a commitment to integrative, socially engaged scholarship. His current PhD project exemplifies this ethos, as it explores the dynamics of personal transformation induced by the naturalistic use of psilocybin-containing truffles in retreat settings. Complementary to his PhD project, he is involved in developing theoretical frameworks for the study of self-transcendent experiences and the consequent transformation taking 4E cognition and complex dynamic systems perspectives.
