Since beginning 2018 I am pursuing a PhD at Leiden University on organizational turbulence.
I am a dedicated public sector manager and consultant. I studied public administration and leadership at Leiden University, INSEAD business school in Fontainebleau, and Harvard Kennedy School. I worked at New York University as visiting fellow at NYU Wagner School for Public Service and as executive in Residence at NYU Center for Urban Science and Progress.
I have extensive experience as a senior public sector official, public sector consultant and entrepreneur with leading expertise in Dutch, EU and US government practices, with city, regional and national agencies, educational institutions, international businesses and philanthropies on policy-making, organizational change management, business development and crisis accountability. I served as policy director at the city of Rotterdam and as general director at the city of Amsterdam. In 2015 I was appointed as strategy director at Police Netherlands. In 2016 I was appointed as member of national force command. I served two times as interim chief executive of educational institutions (vocational training). From July 1st 2018 I am general director at PBLQ, a highly regarded Dutch public sector consulting firm on digitalization of the public sector.
