Biography
Gideon Kersten is a scientific advisor and scientific reviewer at Coriolis Pharma, a contract R&D organization focusing on the formulation and characterization of biopharmaceuticals. These include proteins, vaccines, viral vectors and cell-based therapies. Before joining Coriolis in 2020 he was involved in vaccine development for 35 years at the Institute for Public Health and the vaccine institutes originating from the public health institute: the Netherlands Vaccine Institute and Intravacc, all in Bilthoven.
He did a master in Biochemistry (University of Leiden) and has a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences on subunit vaccines (University of Utrecht). His research interests cover the pharmaceutical aspects biopharmaceuticals, i.e. formulation, stabilization, administration and characterization.
