Fallon Cooper is affiliated to the Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology as since 2021 as a lecturer and since 2024 also as a PhD candidate.
Education and career
Fallon Cooper obtained her master’s degree in Forensic Criminology from Leiden University in 2021. During her studies, she studied for a semester at the Universitat de Barchelona as part of her bachelor's degree in Criminology. She also simultaneously completed a bachelor's degree in Psychology at Leiden University and did an internship at the NGO Defense for Children. After graduating, Fallon started working as a lecturer at the Criminology department of Leiden University and has also been working there as a PhD candidate since July 2024.
Educational activities
As a teacher, Fallon is involved in the bachelor's courses Theoretical Criminology and Human Trafficking. She also guides students in writing their bachelor's thesis.
Research areas
Her PhD research focuses on criminal exploitation among young people in organized crime. The focus of the research is on victimization experiences and victim treatment for young people involved in organized crime.
