Fadhilatul Hikmah (Dhila) is a lecturer at the Tax Law Department Faculty of Law of Universitas Gadjah Mada and a researcher at the Indonesian Center for Tax Law and the Center for World Trade Studies at the same university. She has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Sustainable International Development Law from the University of Washington, where she received the Roy Prosterman Student Leadership Award and the Barer Fellowship in 2013.

Currently, Dhila is pursuing her PhD at the Van Vollenhoven Institute. Her Phd research focuses on tax fairness within and beyond border: A Case Study of Indonesia's Tax Dispute Resolution Mechanisms and Governance. This research investigates the interconnection between domestic tax dispute mechanism and governance and the international system on tax dispute resolution. The project will be supervised by Professor Adriaan Bedner and Professor Rex Arendsen.
