Esther Kentin is lecturer at the Department Moot Court and Advocacy of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies since 2004. She also runs the Leiden Advocacy Project on Plastic.

Esther Kentin studied at the University of Amsterdam with a specialization in international environmental law. She has worked for the VU University Amsterdam, Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Amsterdam teaching courses on international law in general as well as more specialized courses such as international environmental law and economic and investment law. At the University of Amsterdam she was the coordinator of the Amsterdam International Law Clinic. Her interests focus on the application of international law, in particular international environmental law.
At the Moot Court Department, Esther Kentin teaches Moot Court courses on public international law for Dutch as well as for international students. Furthermore, she leads the Leiden Advocacy Project on Plastic (LAPP). LAPP is a pro bono initiative in which students work on legal questions of NGO's concerning plastic. Clients include the Plastic Soup Foundation and The Ocean Cleanup.
