I hold a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy (University of Athens, GR) and a Masters in Continental Philosophy (University of Warwick, UK). The theme of my MA dissertation was "Nietzsche and Castoriadis on the Death of God." Currently, I am a PhD researcher in Philosophy (Leiden University, NL). The title of my thesis is "The Moral Mediation Account of Terrorism." In addition to my studies, I have been working as a Law Enforcement Officer in the Hellenic Police since 2009. I also belong to the teaching staff of Hellenic Police Academy on the module of 'Terrorism.'

Research
My research examines how morality explains the manner that ideals inform violent acts, and in particular terrorism; an aspect that the current literature fails to elucidate. I argue that the duty-based moral theory solves the knowledge/action problem and explains why and how the commitment to an ideal motivates an agent to violently act upon it.
