Short CV
Tsiaka obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with distinction, at the University of Ioannina, in Greece. She completed her internship at the Psychiatric Hospital of Attica–Dafni, where she gained experience in the treatment of psychological disorders.
After that, she completed her Master’s in Clinical Psychology and continued obtaining clinical and research experience. As she had volunteered in the past for a non-profit organisation for children who experienced abuse, she focused on the exploration of the associations between childhood trauma, dissociation, and cognitive-emotion regulation for her thesis. Alongside this, she was a research assistant in an EEG laboratory, under the supervision of Dr. Peter Putman.
After her Master’s, Dimitra worked as a laboratory teacher at Leiden University, where she shared her expertise on EEG with master students of the Clinical Psychology department. Afterward, she worked as a research assistant in the development of a codebook.
