Doctoral Research Title: The Legal and Policy Aspects of Space Big Data.
Dimitra graduated from the Law School of Athens with an LL.B, in Law and continued her studies with an LL.M. in International Business Law (cum laude) at Tilburg University and an Advanced LL.M. in Air and Space Law at Leiden University. She has also attended the Space Studies Program 2016 of the International Space University.
Dimitra conducts her doctoral research on “The Legal and Policy Aspects of Space Big Data” with support from the Netherlands Space Office and the European Space Agency. She gives lectures in space law for the Advanced LL.M. in Air and Space Law at Leiden University, focusing on the topics of space applications, privacy and cybersecurity in space activities, export control, and space resource utilization. She is Adjunct Faculty and Governing Member of the International Space University. She is Individual Member of the International Institute of Space Law and member of the European Centre for Space Law and the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Ruimtevaart.
Dimitra frequently presents her research in international conferences and speaks about space law in public events. She functioned as Assistant Executive Secretary of the Hague International Space Resources Governance Working Group from 2016 to 2019.
