I am a PhD student in the Aging and Immunity group of Amanda Foks at the LACDR, Leiden University. During my PhD, I will investigate immunosenescence in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease using aged atherosclerosis murine models and cardiovascular disease patient samples. My main goal is to investigate the association between age-associated T cells and atherosclerosis progression, which enables exploration of disease stratification markers and immunotherapeutic strategies to halt atherosclerosis.
