Christoph Pieper is a university lecturer at the Centre for the Arts in Society. After having studied Latin, German and Italian Literature in Bonn and Florence, he has been a Universiy Lecturer of Latin at Leiden University since 2006. His main research interests are Cicero and his afterlife (a theme for which he received a grant from the Dutch NWI: VIDI) and the literary culture of the Italian Renaisance (14th/15th centuries).
