Bunga received her bachelors in Psychology from the University of Indonesia (cum laude) and the University of Queensland (2013). She continued to complete her masters in Methodology and Statistics (cum laude) at Leiden University in 2015. In that same year she joined the Methodology and Statistics Unit as a teaching and research assistant.

Bunga received her bachelors in Psychology from the University of Indonesia (cum laude) and the University of Queensland (2013). She continued to complete her masters in Methodology and Statistics (cum laude) at Leiden University in 2015. In that same year she joined the Methodology and Statistics Unit as a teaching and research assistant.
Since 2017, she is conducting the PhD research "Predictive validity of psychological tests from a statistical learning perspective".
She is interested in developing methods to build psychological tests for prediction purposes. Her research is especially applicable in prediction situations that involve high stakes decisions, such as in personnel and student selection.
