Anna D'Agostino (1997) is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Private Law, department of Civil Law. Her research is part of the NWO Vici-project 'These Shoes Don't Fit! - How can consumer interests be protected when consumer identities are increasingly diffuse?', led by Prof. dr. Vanessa Mak. Anna explores a reconceptualisation of the consumer as a consumer-citizen and the role of consumer law in pursuing the societal goal of (environmental) sustainability.
Anna holds a Master's degree in Law from the University of Trento. During her studies, she was an Erasmus+ student at the National University of Ireland Maynooth and a visiting scholar at the KU Leuven, where she conducted comparative research on collective redress procedures. Anna is also interested in alternative dispute resolution and co-authored an academic report on consumer ADR for the European Commission. Prior to starting her doctoral research, she was an assistant at the European Consumer Organisation BEUC in Brussels.
