Anja Schoots-Snijder is an external PhD candidate at ICLON Leiden University. Her research focuses on student agency and the characteristics of a learning environment in which agency can develop.

Anja Schoots-Snijder is conrector of education and auctor in secondary education. Her research interest is in student agency and the school development needed to create a learning environment that promotes the development of agency in relation to learning and well-being. Previously, Anja researched the effect of formative assessment on student ownership and the contribution of the Plot26 teaching method to student engagement in teaching Dutch.
