Current research

After finishing my degree in History at the University of Granada and completing the Master in Archaeology (M71.56.1/RD 1393/2007), I obtained a contract from the Ministry of Education program for university teacher training (FPU/2015) and subsequently I have developed a research and teaching activity in the Department of Prehistory and Archaeology at the University of Granada. Since then, I decided to focus my line of research to the world of virtualization and digitization of cultural heritage in fields and cultures as different as the Mayan and Roman. This training was consolidated, in 2017 with a Research stay at the Subdirección de Arqueología Subacuática del INAH, granted by the Ministry of Education, and several online courses focused on the use of computer tools such as photogrammetry, GIS or 3D reconstruction. In February 2020 I obtained my PhD and was hired through the bridge contract program of the University of Granada until February 2021.

For the dissemination of my work and research, I have given talks in schools and universities, cultural centers and museums, associations, private institutions, and I have been able to participate in numerous international and national congresses. I have published in several international and national impact journals such as Pyrenae, Virtual Archaeology Review or Archaeological and Anthropological Sciences, among others, or the publication of several book chapters in prestigious publishers such as Comares or the University of Granada.

Currently, I have been and am part of several R&D research projects such as Craft production and division of labor in the Chalcolithic of the Iberian Southeast: an analysis from the archaeological record of Los Millares (PARTESI) (PID2020- 117437GBI00/ AEI/ 10. 13039/501100011033), Production and acquisition of fine pottery in early imperial Hispania: sigilla hispaniae (PID2019-105294GB-I00/ AEI/ 10.13039/501100011033)" and many other regional projects.
