I am currently researching Sri Lanka's role in the ancient Indian Ocean trade networks during the time period between 300BCE-900CE. I examine the role of Sri Lanka's position within the Indian Ocean related to trade and aim to provide more information on the internal networks at work within Sri Lanka related to the manufacture of goods that were traded throughout the Indian Ocean.
