The Faculty of Science adopted an action plan Diversity and Inclusiveness in 2015. In this action plan, the Faculty commits to a number of actions to further improve diversity The Faculty of Science adopted an action plan Diversity and Inclusiveness in 2015. In this action plan, the Faculty commits to a number of actions to further improve diversity and inclusiveness for staff and students, such as more female full professors at the faculty, and encourages initiatives that foster inclusiveness.
The Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) is one of the institutes of the Faculty of Science. The institute is responsible for the research and education in computer science carried out at Leiden University. LIACS is curious to learn where we stand as an organisation in our Inclusiveness and Diversity, and how we can improve our culture to more inclusiveness and diversity. Inclusiveness and diversity are in our view not only limited to gender, but also (among others) international background, religion, (dis)abilities, sexual orientation.
