UBC Europe – University-Business Cooperation in Europe
To goal of this project is to get a deeper, more comprehensive and up to date understanding of the state of University-Business Cooperations (UBC) in Europe, from the perspective of both the Higher Education Institutions and the business sector.

The study identifies the main drivers and barriers for the different stakeholders involved; analyses the regulatory framework and socio-economic conditions and the existing initiatives supporting the development of UBC, at the level or regions and countries.
The specific objectives of the study include:
- Providing an in-depth analysis of UBC in the countries covered by this study, from the HE and business perspectives;
- Case studies of UBC;
- Designing a UBC monitoring tool;
- Providing policy conclusions and recommendations for the furthering of UBC and the best approaches to take, be it at regional, national or European level.
CWTS has contributed to the review available indicators on University-Industry Interactions as well as the design of a tool to monitor UBC in Europe.
