Cardiovascular diseases, an important cause of mortality in the Netherlands, are the consequence of constrictions that develop in the blood vessels. Researchers will systematically study how the development of these dangerous constrictions can be reversed. The researchers will specifically target new drugs at the blood vessels with the aim of letting the constrictions disappear.
