The NanoFront consortium consist of nanoscientists at Delft and Leiden at the cutting edge of this field. The joint Casimir Research School of the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience Delft and Leiden Institute of Physics (LION) forms a well-established base for NanoFront and the foundation for the optimal education and training of the next generation of scientists.
The research program Frontiers of Nanoscience, in short: NanoFront, is a consortium of nanoscientists at the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience Delft and the Leiden Institute of Physics (LION). The joint Casimir Research School of the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience Delft and LION forms a well-established base for NanoFront and the foundation for the optimal education and training of the next generation of scientists.
NanoFront will explore the most promising frontiers of nanoscience in a synergetic program geared towards fundamental breakthroughs as well as applications, specifically:
- Frontiers of Quantum Nanoscience – from quantum surprises to quantum devices
- Frontiers of Bionanoscience – exploring and building life from the nanoscale up
- Frontiers of Nanotechnology – get real, go live
