As the internet and information and communication technologies are becoming more and more ingrained into our everyday lives, it is ever more pressing to think about security in relation to the use and application of these technologies. At eLaw we are interested in the ways in which matters of cybersecurity affect the relationship between governments and citizens, have a bearing on (fundamental) rights and civil liberties, and alter the role and responsibilities of governments, for example with respect to the protection of critical infrastructures, but also with respect to the capabilities and powers of the police, or the use and application of digital forensics.
