The central research objective of this project is to analyze how the imagology of paradise of Aruba is constructed or destructed in the work of fiction.
I will investigate how Neo-Baroque theories (for example, intertextuality, metafiction, uncanniness, unreliable narrator, simulations and simulacra) can attribute to the construction or deconstruction of the image of the Caribbean island as paradise in the work of fiction.
