Objectives
The Cultural Production network informs the ongoing research of scholars working on visual, material, and textual representations within the wider scope of literature, art, media, history, heritage, archaeology and philosophy. We collaborate and interact with a specific focus on cultural dynamics and patterns of cultural exchange across Asia and the Middle East. Our research is enriched by sharing insights with the wider Leiden community, international scholars and graduate students.
Activities
In the form of lecture series, hands-on masterclasses, and small workshops, we intend to create a vibrant research network. The network regularly convenes for discussions of work in progress (workshopping research). Invited public lectures will tie into a ‘network day’ with contributions of the network members.
