In this book pawnbroking, the offering of secured loans to people with personal property as collateral, is analyzed by investigating the statutory rules applicable to pawnbroking in Section 7.2D Civil Code within the property law rules of the Civil Code. The study also investigates whether the statutory arrangement in Section 7.2D Civil Code provides for a balanced protection of the interests of the parties involved in a pawnbroking agreement.
