Tell Sabi Abyad in Northern Syria is one of the most important Late Neolithic sites in the Near East. This is the first extensive report on the large-scale excavations at the site, which began in 1986. The report presents a detailed and lavishly illustrated account of the stratigraphy and architecture, pottery, flint and obsidian industries, figurines and other small finds. In addition, essential data are provided on the faunal and floral remains.
