Tutankhamun Conference 2016

On Friday the 6th of May

 - on the first day of a three-day conference - two eminent scholars, professor Dr Olaf Kaper of Leiden University and Dr Gillian Vogelsang of the Textile Research Centre in Leiden, presented their lectures on textiles and embroidery found in the tomb of Tutankhamun. The subject of the conference at the new Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo focused on several aspects of the collection found in this tomb. Participants of this conference are the true world experts on the collection of Tutankhamun. NVIC was pleased to welcome these two scholars to Cairo and was proud to be of service to them.
