LLB students take centre stage at their graduation ceremony

On 11 April, we marked an important milestone for our LLB students who celebrated at their graduation ceremony.

In the presence of many proud parents, the graduating students accepted their well-deserved diploma and celebrated the successful completion of their studies.

The lawyers of the future

We are proud that we were able to present around 100 students with their diplomas which they worked hard to achieve over many years. The graduation ceremony is therefore a nice moment to reflect on their efforts, perseverance and dedication throughout their studies. During the ceremony, Vice Dean Jan Crijns addressed the students:

'Being awarded a bachelor's degree is a joyous moment. By completing your bachelor's degree, you have shown that you are well on your way to becoming the lawyers of the future. And that’s not only very good news for you personally, but certainly also for society. Because more than ever, society needs skilled, upstanding, and inspired legal experts who are at the heart of society and are equipped to tackle complex societal challenges. On behalf of the Faculty Board, I congratulate you all on reaching this milestone.’

Favourite courses

A new feature of this year's graduation ceremony was that students were asked beforehand about how they had experienced their studies. This included asking them which courses they had enjoyed the most. According to their answers, Moot Court, Public International Law, Substantive Criminal Law and Philosophy of Law were among the graduates’ favourite courses.

We hope all our new alumni look back fondly on the completion of their bachelor's degree and enjoyed their graduation ceremony. Congratulations on this impressive achievement and we wish you all the very best in your future careers!
