Vasiliki Kosta speaks at the Annual Congress of the Dutch Lawyers Association (Nederlandse Juristen Vereniging)
Vasiliki Kosta delivered a spoken column on “The ‘freedom of the sciences’ in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights” during the Annual Congress of the Dutch Lawyers Association (Nederlandse Juristen-Vereniging).
The topic of the congress was “Waarde, werking en potentie van het EU-Grondrechtenhanndvest in de Nederlandse rechtsorde” (“Value, operation and potential of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights in the Dutch legal order”) and took place on 7 June 2024. Kosta’s spoken column focused on the current understanding of Art. 13 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights after the case Case C-66/18 Comission v Hungary (Lex CEU) and recent EU institutional activity for protecting and promoting scientific and academic freedom.
