Students attend hearing at Aliens Division of Court of Rotterdam
On Thursday 6 March, students from the elective course Immigration Law attending a hearing at the Aliens Division of the Court of Rotterdam.
The students attended four hearings dealing with regular immigration law. Afterwards judge Groeneveld and the other legal representatives from the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service took ample time to answer questions from the students.
The students were delighted they were willing to engage in a conversation about the work of the judge in immigration law. They also found it interesting to see the interaction between the legal representatives. A number of claimants were also present at the hearings. This made an impact on the students, as they witnessed legal discussions that have a major impact on the lifes of these people.
