Tom Schreuder appointed as the new Business Director of Hortus botanicus Leiden
Tom Schreuder has been appointed as the new Business Director of Hortus botanicus Leiden. Schreuder succeeds Peter Inklaar, who held the position for four years. Schreuder currently works as a Commercial Manager at Keukenhof and brings a wealth of experience from that role. He will start his new position on 13 January.
Schreuder brings extensive expertise to the Hortus. For the past nine years, he has served as a commercial manager and member of the management team at Keukenhof, where he was jointly responsible for the historic estate and museum castle. Prior to this, he worked at various Dutch companies, including NS and Unilever.
‘We are delighted to welcome Tom to our beautiful Hortus botanicus,’ says Suzanne van der Pluijm, Director of Operations at FWN. ‘With his background at Keukenhof, combined with his positive mindset and passion for green spaces and education, he is a great addition to the Hortus team. This will strengthen the foundation and position of the Hortus at the heart of the city of Leiden and our university. I am very much looking forward to working with him and shaping a sustainable future together.’
