Leiden to participate in Hugo Sinzheimer Moot Court Competition
Master's students in labour law Just Bakker and Tess van der Putten are to participate in the prestigious Hugo Sinzheimer Moot Court Competition. This EU Labour Law competition will take place in Vienna from 20 to 23 June 2024.
The Hugo Sinzheimer Moot Court Competition involves international teams of up to four people competing against each other in a mock trial. The trial is based on a fictional case created by a select group of people – known as the Case Committee – from a specific country each year. Belgium was selected to do this in 2024.
Back in 2022, PhD student Heleen Andriessen and her teammates won de competition. This year, she will be accompanying the competitors as a coach from the Labour Law and Social Security department.
