Reijer Passchier appointed as professor at the Open University
On 1 October 2022, Reijer Passchier was appointed as Professor Digitalisation and the Democratic Constitutional State at the Open University. Reijer is also working at Leiden University as Assistant Professor at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law.
The Chair Digitalisation and the Democratic Constitutional State has been newly instated and aligns closely to Reijers profile. The aim of the chair is the development of high quality and innovative BaMa and post-initial education, fundamental and applied research, and research communication in the field of digitalisation and the democratic constitutional state. ‘I would like to use this chair as a platform to kickstart the academic and social debate on the consequences of digitalisation on the functioning of our constitution,’ says Reijer.
