With LAWKI (Life As We Know It), a trilogy, ARK researched and visualized the world around us through green screen technology. A stitched up collage of the ‘new virtual real’ shows how we connect the dots, reach out and share visions.
Through a considerable amount of existing videos, in which the orientation and viewpoint are fundamental, ARK questions how we share your world, and theirs. In the constantly changing surveillance culture under pressure, ARK depicts our deep fakes, our dark thoughts, our drone views, our politics, our activism, and our lives in the virtual real in the backdrop of their own studio during lockdown.
ARK (Atelier Roosje Klap)
ARK is the acronym of Atelier Roosje Klap, an Amsterdam-based design studio. The research-based interdisciplinary design approach enables ARK to challenge graphic design boundaries and create new forms of communication.
