Freya Baetens writes fact sheet on free trade agreements for Dutch Lower House
Free trade negotiations and agreements are important instruments of EU trade policy. An increasing number of EU climate, environmental and sustainable development objectives play a role in free trade agreements.
Guest lecturer Freya Baetens wrote an academic fact sheet on these free trade agreements for the Dutch Lower House. The central question is: how can free trade agreements – through, for example, sustainability chapters and agreements on standards – be an effective instrument in safeguarding the interests of people, the climate and the environment?
The fact sheet (in Dutch) is available here.
